About our Client

Our client is a one of the leading players in the Aluminum business and has been a pioneer within their sector. The business markets around the industry through their exceptional reputation in providing quality services and the endless supply of creativity with high-margin possibilities.

As part of our client’s ambitious growth plans we have the pleasure of recruiting a Key Account Manager for SEA region, hierarchically reporting and working closely with the Director of the specific division – preferably based in Malaysia, Singapore or Thailand. This would be a great opportunity for a talented individual to join an entrepreneurial organization to further grow the business model.

Job Description

The Kay Account Manager is a revenue focus role with key objective in expanding the business within SEA. He or she will hold full responsibility of the business sales budget, focusing on gross margin and driving new business prospects.

  • Using existing channels and identifying new ones, the incumbent is expected to create and implement strategies to grow volume and margin in the South East Asian region, including Taiwan and Australia.
  • Ability to make decision with analyzed sales data and proactively identifying new opportunities for potential growth by working closely with the distributors.
  • Fully knowledgeable about all available products and solutions to supports credit management to ensure the business is prudent in decision making and maximizing free cash flow.
  • Work closely with customer base and inside team including customer service, field engineering and other functional department to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Assist technical marketing team design customer-specific, value-based solutions to meet clients’ business and performance improvement needs.
  • Champion the expansion of new business opportunities to build new market entry models with high creativity and hands on commitment.
  • Ability to build and implement the business development processes for the region and coordinate the business plan from end to end.
  • Ensure the development in new internal and external business relationships are managed properly to support the business strategy to effectively identify opportunities and threats to the business.
  • Work closely with the Technical, Operations and Sales Administration departments to ensure that customers are getting excellent timely support and service.
  • Monitor customers and provide timely accurate information on forward demand requirements (S&OP).

The Successful Applicant

Our client is looking for an exceptional leader with intellectual ability to implement and execute revenue generating business projects. Also, possessing good business acumen and having approximately 5 to 10 years of experience in business development function within the B2B arena particularly.

The successful candidate will:

  • Strong technical knowledge, ideally from the engineering, material science or business management.
  • In-depth technical understanding and know how in the semiconductor and/or aerospace industries is a preferred.
  • Possess ability to understand different markets and cultures in the region to drive opportunities and growth at all levels across the Business
  • Responsible for the market analysis and forecast to ensure timely opportunities and threats to the business are unidentified and counteracted.
  • Ability to build long term business relationships and sell high value products with long term benefits to clients
  • Be a self-starter by able to work independently, possessing a passion for excellence with a proven ability to initiate change and continuously seek improvement
  • Possess CAN DO attitude and willing to work hands on
  • Experience in selling/purchasing and import/export business related operations will be an added advantage
