Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM), the statutory association for all licensed insurers transacting general insurance business in the country invites applications for the position of :

1. Technical Advisor

Responsibilities:

• Assume full responsibility for the effective operation of the Functional Units/Sub-committees of the Association
• Provide technical inputs and advice on general insurance
• Conduct research and development on general insurance related matter

Requirements:

• A chartered insurer or other relevant professional qualification
• At least 10 years experience in the general insurance industry in a senior management position
• In-depth knowledge in general insurance business
• Desire to contribute to the advancement of the insurance industry
• Ability to plan, implement and manage projects
• Those who have recently retired from Insurance industry are strongly encouraged to apply

Term Of Employment:

• Competitive remuneration based on experience
• Contractual basis
• Option for extension of contract based on performance

2. Executive

Responsibilities:

• Provide secreterial support and follow-through actions on projects and assignments of the Association’s Committees
• Deal with correspondence and preparing reports on matters handled by the Committees
• Conduct research and maintain liaison and communications with members and other relevant parties on Association’s matters

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree / Professional qualifications, preferably in insurance related field
• A minimum of 2 to 3 years of working experience in relevant field
• Good command of English and Bahasa is essential
• Computer literate and proficient in MS Office applications
• Must have initiative and be able to work independently with good interpersonal and communication skills
