Jawatan Kosong SKMM

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (SKMM) is the regulator for the converging communications and multimedia industry based on the powers provided for in the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission Act (1998) and the Communications and Multimedia Act (1998). Pursuant to these Acts the role of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission is to implement and promote the Government’s national policy objectives for the communications and multimedia sector. The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission is also charged with overseeing the new regulatory framework for the converging industries of telecommunications, broadcasting and on-line activities.

On 1 November 2001, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission also took over regulation of the Postal Industry and was appointed the Certifying Agency pursuant to the Digital Signature Act (1997)

1. Assistant Executive, Infrastructure & Network Planning Department

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure timely, efficient, accurate and relevant data entry for the Communications Infrastructure Management System (CISM) database.
  • To perform ad hoc work that may be assigned by the head of department from time to time.
  • To assist in the overall CIMS implementation, data migration, application support.
  • To ensures CIMS data from various department/ industry/ agencies are prepared and entered into the data processing system.
  • To identify and removes erroneous information and update the data input accordingly.
  • To provide clerical and administrative support for other departments as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering, IT, Database, GIS or relevant from recognized university.
  • At least 1 year in working experience.
  • Knowledge in Geographical Information System (GIS) and mapping.
  • Experience in handling GIS and Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software.
  • Experience in Managing Database and Web Based application development and maintenance.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Able to work and deliver under tight schedule.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate and write well in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Flexible, proactive, trustworthy and respectful.

2. Assistant Executive, Integrity, Disciplinary and Governance Department

Responsibilities:

  • To assist Integrity, Disciplinary and Governance Department (IDGD) in implementing programs to instill good values and strengthening integrity through lectures, courses, workshops and seminars.
  • To assist IDGD in preparation for Disciplinary Committee Meeting.
  • To update staff records on Declaration of Assets.
  • To process the approval for staff who declares receiving of gifts and payment by external parties.
  • To coordinate with other Divisions/Departments for monthly and quarterly report for Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Tadbir Urus KPKK, Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Induk Inovasi and YBM’s KPi.
  • To assist IDGD in other support roles.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in any discipline from recognized university (preferable in Multimedia Management).
  • At least 1 year in working experience.
  • Experience in planning and preparations for projects/events, manage overall equipment logistics for event setup and keeping confidential records.
  • A matured team player, resourceful, self-motivated with high integrity.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Able to work and deliver under tight schedule.
  • Ability to communicate and write well in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

3. Assistant Director, Integrity, Disciplinary and Governance Department

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and organizing programs, event and activities to instill good values and strengthening integrity through lectures, courses, workshops and seminars in line with SKMM’s corporate values.
  • To investigate, manage and control all the disciplinary and grievance mechanisms.
  • To conduct and participate in disciplinary domestic inquires and prepare recommendation papers for appropriate disciplinary actions.
  • To handle employee grievances in an effective and efficient manner so as to preserve good employee relations and industrial harmony.
  • Meeting Ministries’ (KPKK and other Government’s departments/agencies) – needs for information, updates, participation, contribution, alignment, consultation and representation of SKMM.
  • To review existing policies, procedures, guidelines and proposed changes by using the Corruption Risk Management (CRM) technique if required for the improvement on the overall Industrial Relations, Procurement and Assets policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Law or Human Resource Management from recognized university (preferable with knowledge and experience in IR matters).
  • At least 3-5 years in working experience.
  • A flexible multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Experience in employee relations and generalist activities.
  • A matured team player, resourceful, self-motivated with high integrity.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Critical thinking and able to provide advice and solutions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate and write well in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

4. Assistant Director, Digital Forensic

Responsibilities:

  • To provide and assist digital forensic operations – specializing in COMPUTER forensic investigations.
  • To adhere to Quality Management System (QSM) requirements – maintaining server, software, EPR, Labs (air cond, blower, log entrance) and handling equipment and evidences.
  • To organise nationwide awareness campaign including write ups in Consumer Toolkit, websites, newspapers, conduct seminars and other related awareness programs.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Law, Computer Science, Forensics Science or equivalent from recognized university.
  • Min 1 year relevant working experience.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Critical thinking and able to provide advice and solutions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate and write well in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Willing to travel on short notice.
  • Have strong analytical and investigative skills.
