Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) is a unique high powered government-owned corporation, established to facilitate the development and promotion of MSC Malaysia, the premier Malaysian ICT initiative. MDeC advises the Malaysian Government on ICT policies, develops MSC Malaysia as a key growth driver of the economy and set breakthrough standards for ICT and multimedia operations. MDeC also promotes MSC Malaysia locally and globally, as well as supports companies which are located within the MSC Malaysia designated areas. MDeC  works closely with various parties and government agencies to ensure that MSC Malaysia offers a conducive enabling environment for companies to harness the full potential of ICT and multimedia technologies.

Customer Service Officer

  • This role is primarily responsible to handle all incoming enquiries via all channels and provide information in connection to MSC Malaysia, in accordance to established procedures and standards of the Contact Center.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high level of personalized Customer Service
  • To attend all incoming contacts and assist customers in their specific enquiries by using the agreed procedures whenever possible.
  • Using appropriate listening skills, questioning skills and empathy skills, to gather the relevant information relating to the customer’s concern
  • To put the customer’s mind at rest, explaining the actions that the organization will take.
  • To ensure that all promises made during the interaction with the customersare delivered.
  • To work to agreed productivity and quality standards (e.g. log-on time, talk time, conversion rates, customer satisfaction monitors).
  • To make any ad-hoc outgoing calls to customers as required resolving an outstanding query.
  • Sales/Outbound
  • Cross sell and up sell company product and service whenever possible
  • Build customer’s interest in the services and products offered

Requirements:

  • A Degree holder in Information Technology, Business Studies or any related field.
  • Well grounded executive with not less than 1 year of experience.
  • Working experience in a contact centre or customer service environment will be an added advantage.
  • Good level of oral, reading and writing in English and Bahasa Malaysia languages in all work and social settings

BUSINESS ANALYST

  • This role is primarily responsible to coordinate, facilitate and assess the Pioneer Status Renewal, change of name and equity applications. This involves in depth technical analysis of business and financial plan, to also provide appropriate advice and/or feedback to the applicant. This role is also responsible to prepare necessary documentation and material, and to present to the Approval Committee.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and overseeing the Pioneer Status Renewal application process includes preparing assessment report and presentation to approval committee.
  • Provide guidance and advice on Pioneer Status renewal application.
  • Perform in depth analysis on business and financial plan to determine the value-adds to propose MSC Malaysia activities.
  • Review Pioneer Status renewal application and provide comprehensive feedback to client.
  • Prepare necessary documentation, assessment report and recommendation slides.
  • Present the application to the MSC Malaysia Approval Committee for their consideration.
  • Coordinating the Change of Name and Change of Equity application process includes preparing assessment report and presentation to approval committee.
  • Prepare necessary documentation, assessment report and recommendation slides.
  • Present the application to the MSC Malaysia Approval Committee for their consideration.
  • Overseeing the post MSC Malaysia related issues.
  • Manage related issues on post MSC Malaysia includes post site visit, entertain complaints, request and queries and escalate issues raised.

Requirements:

  • Have good Client Relationship Management skills.

Regional Manager, Business & Market Development    

  • This role is primarily responsible to lead a program to achieve mindshare, investment and revenue generation targets from China or any other assigned Emerging Market business portfolios.  This is undertaken through market and business development of MSC products and offerings using MDeC business tools, process, policy and guidelines.

Main activities of the job includes leading account and market strategy development, designing and overseeing marketing campaigns and also implementing missions, lead generation and opportunity pursuit of target business portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development and Sales.
  • Ensure efficient portfolio management of business portfolio, sales funnel review, client priority management, solution development, project pursuit and closure.
  • Market Acquisition
  • Ensure efficient campaign strategy and programme development, supplier acquisition, campaign programme execution and performance review.
  • Management and Operational Support
  • Ensure efficient performance reporting, budget management, development and fulfillment of procurement and travel plans. This includes ensuring efficient management of assigned internal staff and Senior International Representatives (SIR).

Requirements:

  • A Degree in IT, Economics, Marketing or Business or any related field.
  • Well grounded executive with not less than 7 years of experience in IT software sales.
  • Able to speak and read Mandarin
  • Experienced individual contributor who has experience and knowledge of international business and market development.
